2A Base collects minimal data. Most app data, including your checklists, profile, and preferences, is stored locally on your device only and never transmitted to any server.
2A Base ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information We Collect
Stored Locally on Your Device
- CCW expiration date: stored only on your device in local app storage. Never transmitted to any server.
- Checklist progress: your purchase and CCW checklist completion is stored locally only.
- Display name and profile photo: stored locally on your device only.
- Notification preferences: stored locally on your device.
- Selected home state: stored locally on your device.
Collected for Push Notifications (Optional)
- Expo push token: an anonymous device identifier used solely to deliver law update notifications after you opt in. This token is stored in our Supabase database alongside your selected state and notification preferences.
- Selected state: stored with your push token so we can send you updates relevant to your state only.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- Name, email address, or any personal identifiers
- Location data or GPS coordinates
- Firearm ownership, serial numbers, or inventory
- Financial or payment information (handled by Apple)
- Usage analytics or behavioral tracking
2. How We Use Information
- Push tokens are used only to deliver firearm law update notifications you have opted into. We never use them for advertising or share them with third parties.
- Local data never leaves your device and is used only to personalize your in-app experience.
3. Third-Party Services
- Supabase: stores push tokens and state preferences for notification delivery. Data is stored in the United States. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
- Expo (push notifications): routes push notifications to your device. See Expo Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat: manages Pro subscription entitlement status and purchase metadata. See RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
- Apple: payment processing for Pro subscriptions. Governed by Apple's privacy policies.
4. Data Retention
- Local device data is retained until you delete the app.
- Push tokens in our database are retained until you disable all notification categories in the app or request deletion.
5. Your Rights
You may:
- Disable push notifications at any time in the Account tab. This removes your token from our servers.
- Delete all local app data by uninstalling the app.
- Request deletion of your push token by contacting us at support@2abase.com.
6. Children's Privacy
2A Base is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If you believe a child under 18 has used the app, please contact us at support@2abase.com.

2A Base provides general firearm law information only. Not legal advice. Always verify laws with official government sources and consult a licensed firearms attorney before making carry, transport, storage, transfer, or compliance decisions.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected in an updated "Last updated" date above.
